That must be exclusive to that particular library as I don’t see it in either the stock library or Death and Darkness. Could you post a screenshot?

Thank you so much for your response–

I’ll attach a couple of pics – one is from The Progressive Foundry “Forrester’s Kit” and the other is from the Duality II EZX Jakob Hermann “Everybody’s Favorite Preset” preset.IMG_3625

Click on it and open it. It usually means it has multiple effects.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

I’ve never seen that in SD3 whether the stock library or Death & Darkness.

    Hello, Mark-

When I click on it, it simply takes me to the same drop-down menu for all the effects as any other effect would – but I noticed just now that there is no checkmark next to any effect, as there would typically be to indicate which effect is selected.  Though there is no effect “checked” in the menu, I just checked and they ARE doing something – sounds like compression or EQ – noticable difference when you toggle them off and on.

The Multi-FX is a black-box effects module carried over from EZ Drummer.  It’s probably a clue that the patch was carried over to the SDX from its EZX counterpart. My guess is that the SDX and EZX were released simultaneously. Hard to tell due to the age of the SDX, but John would probably have the best insight into this. The Progressive Foundry seems to be the only SDX with the Multi FX black box.

Still one of my favourite libraries after all these years.

They are multi effects that the producer chose and are not editable. It’s a carryover from some early EZD2 presets and we’re most likely created at the same time for the SDX as the EZX.

Why can’t you make it editable?
