What function does the new Record button in the Transport bar perform?

I just upgraded the EZkeys player version 1.2 and noticed that the Transport bar now contains a Record button.

what is the functionality of this Record button.

there is no reference to it in the current manual (i.e. the manual supplied with the v1.2 update).

It if for recording MIDI into the Song Track. In standalone mode, you can record your performance into the Song Track. In plugin mode (using EZkeys in a host DAW) you can record MIDI from a DAW track back into the Song Track.
