In the Help menu, under Sound Engine, the Humanize tab has 3 alternatives — what is the functional difference?
And why is this feature absent from the Operations Manual?
Thanks,
Steve
It was just added in 2.0.2 and the manual isn’t updated yet.
The Humanize function works on how samples are picked from the available samples pool to make what’s played back sound as human and non-artificial (machine-gun effect) as possible. It is not something that affects the groove or swing of the MIDI.
EZdrummer 1 had a button to switch it off for those who actually wanted to restrict this behavior.
Also, there are some EZX specific customizations for the Humanization, where it shouldn’t be applied for some instruments as it is generally.
So ,there you have it; All On, EZX specific and All Off.

Thank you very much. Follow-up question:
What is the reason for selecting EZX Specific versus All On?
