Hello all.
I’m brand new to EZ and Reaper, but nowhere near new to PC recording.
This shouldn’t be this hard.
I pick a pattern in EZ.
I drag it to the song layout section of the search window.
I drag a fill next to it.
I copy the original pattern after the fill.
Verse – fill – verse.
When EZ finishes the fill and begins the 2nd verse, the volume drops noticeably.
I’ve cut it and re-pasted it.
I put in a different pattern in it’s place.
I’ve shut down the program and started again.
Same thing over and over again.
This REALLY puts a damper on making music.
Any ideas?
Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Hi,
you are working exclusively with the EZdrummer 2 plug-in in Reaper?
Is this behaviour something you can replicate in the Standalone? In other Reaper Projects?
If so, could you please ZIP archive a Project where this happens and attach to a post here?
BR,
John

I use EZD2 and Reaper, and haven’t ever encountered this behaviour.
Does it do this playing back the sections in the EZD2 stand-alone app?
My gut tells me it’ll be something Reaper related (maybe something automation-related, or cross-fades across adjacent sections perhaps?), simply due to the sheer complexity of the software. You could also try downloading Cakewalk by BandLab (it’s SONAR but free and very capable) and see it it works as expected there. Might help isolate where the problem might be.
Yes, I was thinking some sort of automation as well but I set none up.
I’m using the plugin inside Reaper.
The standalone version does not work and I haven’t gotten time to figure that one out.
It should just work.
I’ve got Studio One at $15 per month but I’ve been meaning to cancel because Reaper is bought and paid for.
I’ll test it out there and I bet it will work just fine.
Perhaps I’ll post this question to Reaper help.
Ooops.
I stand corrected.
The standalone does work. I was thinking about Amplitube. lol
I’ll test it asap and letcha know.
Thank you again.
