Vary stroke dynamic with e-drum

Hi everyone! I have connected the EZdrummer3 to my e-drum: the software is very good and I’m very happy with the sound results.

However, I would like to get more variation in dynamics between strokes on the instrument as I play.
For example, if I hit the snare twice in succession, I now get the exact same sound 2 times. Would it be possible to get some variation between the strokes when playing?

Hi,

you cannot get EZdrummer 3 to infuse extra dynamics to your playing (unless you record it to your Song Track first) and I doubt the exact same sample is played back unless you have set the ‘Hit Variation’ to ‘Low’ in the Advanced settings.

Start with checking the Velocity curve in your e-drum module to see if there is one applied or if you think you should apply one. After that, you can always create your own MIDI preset with a velocity transform curve for your instruments on the E-Drums/MIDI In page in EZdrummer 3.
