Hi Community,
I just got a second ATV xd3 module, one connected via audio interface Midi and the other one connected via a USB Midi device. I just want to use a additinal crash via that second module.
On the xd3 module you are not able to change midi notes, only the midi channel. That means both modules are sending the same notes to SD3.
I checked and can only set a single input channel or “all” channels, but did not find any way to change the notes within SD3 for a seperate midi channel.
Is there a way to remap the midi note for a different midi channel within SD3?
BR, Michael
Your best bet, if you’re looking at a small number of notes, is to change the outgoing midi note from the second module using the configuration interface on the module. I have two modules and this is the way I have decided to manage it.
Failing that you could have two instances of SD3 (two SD3 tracks in your DAW, for example), each with a channel filter, and map each instance to one of the modules.

Thanked by: Michael DumanskiHmm that’s definitely a drawback not being able to change midi notes on the ATV. In a DAW there are a few options for remapping. I only use Cubase which has a drum map. In here you can remap notes based on midi channels and note number. Then there is a]the logical editor which can remap by setting different parameters. So you can match midi channel then equal the nite and then change the note. I can’t think of a way inside sd3. Maybe google and see if there are any midi modifier programs if using standalone.
