How I do use tracker on whole live drum take stems that are not quantized, that ‘ebb and flow’ timing -wise.
I can’t get tracker / SD3 to play in time with the original drum stems in Logic Pro X.
What am I missing here? I’ve tried the ‘Follow host or Song Track’ and all the other tempo export modes.
All is good when I use tracker on drum loops that a specific tempo, but I’d love to add SD 3 sounds to my live played drummers tracks.
Thanks
D
Been wondering this myself. Did you figure it out?

Have you created a custom tempo map in Find Tempo (see image below where to find it). In there each bar is matched with a transient and you can manually move the bars to other positions. In this way the tempo can vary over the song. Make sure to Export the MIDI with “Tracker Tempo Track” option selected and then also import the tempo map in your DAW so they have the same tempo map (the tempo map can be exported from the songtrack).
Another way to do it if you already have a tempo map in your DAW, is to import it into Tracker (under Global Tracks, Tempo Map and the menu button -> Load Tempo map from MIDI file).
Hope that helps, otherwise get back to us if you have more questions!
