Hi everyone,
I’ve been a long time EZ Drummer user and absolutely love it. I have purchased the modern metal EZX and it has been awesome! Last night I purchased a third party groove pack (Drumforge modern Metalcore) and am having some trouble with it. I have it loaded in as a user midi library and it works just fine, but the mapping is all wrong. For example, when the groove is supposed to be playing a snare, its playing a tom. I have the correct mapping layout for the groove pack, but I cannot figure out a way to remap things to make it usable. Is this even possible in EZ? I have seen people saying they’ve used this pack with it to great success but I cannot for the life of me figure out a way other than referencing what the mapping is for the groove pack and what the mapping is for EZ and moving everything around manually. If that is the case, I’m probably going to have to leave EZ for a program that allows me to do so. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.
Thanks!
EZ can’t do if for you in an automated fashion. You’d have to move stuff around manually, maybe with Edit Play Style. There’s a program I have no experience with that people claim does this well… https://www.midiremap.com/
It would be interesting that you might leave a program that uses the general standard of drum midi because you ran into some some midi packs that do not use it. What does Drumforge wants you to do, is buy Drumforge. I did the opposite as you. I bought a few Drumforge midi packs as well except I said to myself, these guys don’t use General Midi Mapping, I’ll never buy their packs ever again. Which is too bad, I think it’s a great company. I use their One-Shots.
Hope it works out for you whatever path you choose.
