Scenario: attempting to use Superior Drummer 3 via a Roland Drum Module (TD-50X) so that my performance uses any SDX kit via a Live Web Cam
What works: Using any built-in sounds from a Roland TD-50X drum module directly to a Laptop then to the Web Live Cam. No issues. This is done by simply choosing the “Roland TD-50X” Audio Interface (vs. the WebCam built in camera audio).
What Doesn’t work – after disabling Local On to Local Off on the Roland which bypasses any built in Roland sounds, Superior Drummer 3 works fine on the laptop and also in Studio One DAW v7 as well as SD3 stand Alone.
However, when adding drum tracks to a Web Site via WebCam, I choose the “Roland TD-50X” (as above) vs. the WebCam built in camera audio and no sound. I am sure this is due to the Web Stream default of only channels 1/2. The Roland allows for Sub Channels 3 and 4 but using that output doesn’t work either.
Main Question: Has anyone in this forum used a Roland module with SD3 to add a drum performance to a Collab web site?
Side note, I know this is 100% do able. On a separate system at a different location I have an Atom MIDI 16 pad controller with a Presonus Mixer that allows 8 channel streaming via WDM 1/2 or 3/4 or 5/6 or 7/8. By Choosing channels 3/4 instead of 1 and 2 I can do a MIDI performance using Sd3 with the same Web Site. I’ve tried the built in Loopback mode on the Roland Module but no luck. I’ve also tried (in SD3) Multi-Out and allowed the Roland Sub channels 3/4 as my Output but again no luck. Thanks for any light that can be shed on this topic.
