I have the free studio one 5 prime daw. Which I read won’t support 3rd party plug-ins.

I am nervous that when I upgrade it will do the same thing because I have seen no file in my computer that says vst or .dll.

Either way, if you want to use Studio One with EZD2, you have to buy it.

Try Reaper if your not set on which DAW you want yet, it will work with the trial and is less expensive when you buy. Or look into Studio One’s return policy before buying.

I doubt you’ll have any problems unless you’ve toyed with the installation process of either program.

If EZDrummer works standalone on your PC then the VST version is installed. Startup up EZDrummer standalone, go to Help > Show Plug-in Path.

That is the directory where is it installed.

When/if you upgrade Studio One, you will go into options > locations > VST and add that path to the list.

Whatever you do…. don’t move the ezdrummer.dll file.

BTW the Studio One Artist 5 supports third party VST without the add-on.

Studio One Artist supports 3rd party plugins, but the free version won’t. It’s 50$ for the upgrade, or I think you can buy a permission to do so. I know it sucks and basically all free versions of all the major DAWs are like this, like Acid, Cubase and Pro Tools , pretty much all of them.
