    Hi,

with the Rock Foundry SDX Preset open, I’d right-click the Snare to save it as a User Instrument and then go to the Mixer to Save the Channels I’d like (e.g. Snare Top and Snare Bottom) as Channel Presets. Then I’d switch to the SD3 Core library and load them into the new Preset there.

    Hi John,

Ok cool, thanks for the advice. Is it possible that this will be implemented in the future in an update? Whilst it’s easy enough to save the handle setting etc as you advise, if you wanted to audition different preset kit pieces, that wouldn’t be an easy work around.

It would be great to be able to see every preset from every library in a drop down menu that you can audition in the same way that you can when in the “add instruments” sections for stacking.

    Yes,

while I would appreciate it myself, I imagine it no easy feat to implement, since auditioning preset parts would not only have to take into account different microphone setups between expansions but also mixer bussing and preset chains. Many presets route e.g. the Snare to a bus for further processing and perhaps even use another bus routing.
I saw you put in a request in the ‘Requests & Feedback’ section, good.

    BR,
    John
