Using grid editor as a timing practice tool / Disable dark overlay

I like to use the grid editor as a visual tool to improve my timing while practicing e-drums.

Just enable the metronome, zoom in the editor and click record+play. Then the editor will visually show each hit and you can see whether you’re on time.

Unfortunately, there is a dark overlay that says “The Grid Editor is disabled while recording the Song Track”, which makes the grid and hits hard to read.

Is it possible to improve the visuals here such that the grid editor can still be viewed as usual even when input is disabled due to recording?

hello, I use an electronic drum to record my sounds but I have a problem I have “The Grid Editor is disabled while recording the Song Track”
I can’t record, it cuts the metronome, I can’t find the problem, how to activate Grid editor?
