Hi.
I’m new to Ezdrummer and really like the sounds.
My question is regarding playing in live situation – as Standalone.
I’ve jsut purchased few EZdrummer sets: Jazz + Classic + Vintage thinking I would be able to mix few sets together –
I mean that if I want to use the Jazz drum kit most of the song and when I play Part C of a song which is more “Rocky” – so playing with the Vintage/Classic set.
Or another example – to use Jazz set but to use the Crash of the Classic set which is more live sound.
Is it possible to use 2 octaves of the midi keyboard for one set (midi channel 1) and 2 other octaves for the other set (midi channel 2)?
Thanks
Jerome
Hi,
this can not be done with EZdrummer and Toontrack solo alone. You would need to load 2 separate instances which you address separately with MIDI switching.
Exactly how this would be done is very much dependent on your hardware and software setup. Some kind of footswitch toggle between 2 states in another host than Toontrack solo, for example.

I should point out that every instance of EZdrummer can be set to respond to a single MIDI channel in Toontrack solo, so if, as your post implies, you can ‘channel split’ your keyboard then this *should* be possible, as long as you can transpose the key range independently to cover the assignment between C1 and C3.
It sounds like you should consider the Superior crossgrade however, if you are able to afford it this Christmas 😉
