    – Click ‘Track’ in Reaper
    – Click ‘Insert Virtual Instrument on new track’
    – Click ‘Instrument’ in far left column (should be already selected)
    – Click ‘VSTi: DFH Sampler (Toontrack) (16 out)’
    – Click ‘OK’
    – A pop up menu will load and ask if you want Reaper to build 16 outputs. For now click ‘Cancel’ instead of ‘OK’. This will get you started.
    – EZdrummer will open
    – Drag MIDI to the track that was created

For me its saying “can’t import 1 of 1 items” if i try your way (which i think should normally be the right one). Why?

Just a guess. Are you running 64-bit Reaper and not the 64-bit EZdrummer? You don’t say anything about what you are using (OS, versions of programs, etc.) so I can only guess.

I don’t know where is a 64bit EZ? I installed from cd -or better: from the downloadcenter, but there is no dedicated 64bit version available?

The latest update (1.3.0) has a 32-bit update and a 64-bit update. Please read the ‘Important ReadMe.rtf’ included with this update for install details.

I don’t see any 64bit Version and even in the “Read Me” is no hint for a 64bit???

    I’m quiet surprised and disapointet.

    OK.

Log into your Toontrack account. Under your EZdrummer product page under ‘My Products’ there is a ‘Software Updates’ section. In that ‘Software Updates’ section there is a file named ‘EZdrummer_WIN_130.zip’. Inside that .zip folder there is a folder named ‘EZdrummer_WIN’. Inside that folder looks like this:

Do you not have the ‘Software Updates’ section in your ‘My Products’ section? Is that file not listed in the ‘Software Updates section?

Thank u. Works now without dedicated 64-bit drivers. Just needed to launch Reaper in “Administrator”-Mode.

Bridging a 32-bit VST in a 64-bit host will use more system resources than just using the 64-bit native version. But, you can do it any way you want to

Reaper does not recognize EZDummer.  Tried many things to no avail.  Preferences, re-loading etc.

EZdrummer plays in my Windoes screen but does not come up in Reaper.

    Please help  Thanks, JR

    Hi Jim_53,

I am assuming you are running Reaper 64-bit? Did you check that the path to ‘C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\’ is added in the VST scan path in the Reaper Preferences?

BTW, which version of EZdrummer 2 have you got installed? There is a version number displayed in the lower right corner when you launch the Standalone.
While the Standalone is running, you can check the location of where the .dll plug-in file is installed by going to the Help Menu item ‘Show Plug-In path’.

    BR,
    John
