Hi
I have ez player pro, solo, EZD and SD2.0 installed as well as Propellerhead Reason and Record.
I’m trying to essentially use EZ Player Pro to play its midi files (with no EZD or SD2.0 running) and have that midi info trigger reason or records Drumkit samples.
How do I configure EZD within solo to output midi data, and how do I then configure reason or record to receive that. It seems that I can easily trigger both with my midi keyboard, and get sound out of either application (obviously when EZD or SD2.0 is running with EZPlayer).
I know this should work, as I asked this exact question and if it was possible to trigger reason drums with EZ Player pro before I bought it all, and the answer from this forum was yes… but I just can’t figure out how to do it, and the manual isn’t too helpful.

Hi,
you need to use a DAW that can host plugins and ReWire Reason, e.g. Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic, Reaper or Ableton Live.
Then you insert EZplayer Pro on an instrument Track in this DAW and either route the MIDI signal ReWired to Reason or drag and drop from EZPP to a track routed to Reason or for Import into Reason.
I.e. Toontrack solo can not do this for you, since it is a host for live triggering of Toontrack plugins and does not output MIDI.
Best Regards,
John
