Recently ive been doing some facebook live broadcasts using just my iphone 5s on a tripod of me playing guitar to various songs, using the iphones microphone to capture the music which is coming out of my speakers, as you can imagine the sound isnt good for the viewer, so basically i want the viewer to not only see me playing via the either the phones camera or my imac camera, but also hear the songs and me playing along using EZ MIX as guitar tone as im hearing it crystal clear via speakers of headphone.
That is my current dilema. Im not technically profound either, but it should be possible surly?
so alternatively Can i do a facebook live broadcast from my imac of me playing guitar (using ez mix) along to a song in my itunes library either on the mac or my iphone, i have the cable to connect the iphone to scarlet, but when i did it and played the live broadcast back, it only picked up the DI guitar sound not the tone i was hearing back through the headphones on ez mix, it did play the song from my iphone also, so its part ok, but i dont want people hearing a DI tone when ive chosen a decent tone with ez mix, apologies for vagueness. so facebook live needs to broadcast my ez mix tone at the same time as my musi cim playing to, not just the direct in guitar plain sound, the cable im using to connect iphone to scarlet is a stereo minijack – mono jack x2 cable, i then put iphone on mono in settings under Hearing, but as ive said when i go live all the viewer hears is the song im playing and my plain direct in tone, not my ez mix special tone.
Any ideas would be a great help, as i just want to do a face book live broadcast of me playing to songs i like using EZ MIX so the end viewer hears both the music and me and can see me too. I know FB live is quite new so people may not have the knowledge but i thought id ask here foirst before contacting support.
