I am using Logic and Ez Drummer 3. I have inherited a complex project set at BPM 152 which ideally I would like to change to say 76 BPM (half tempo) which is best suited for the song. The issue I have is that it would be extremely time consuming to re record everything or convert tracks. to match 76BPM. I’m trying to find a way to add a beat at 76BPM however, when I get the plug in to Follow Host it will play whatever beat I chose at 152bpm. Is there any workaround where the project can still follow Logic (so that it syncs up) but I can use 76BPM which is half tempo?
A strange one I know, but any advice would be welcomed.
Thanks
For anyone interested, I found a work around which involves using the Strech Notes option in EZD 3. Solution as follows: I found a suitable 76BPM groove, then added it to the EDZ3 drum project (which then plays it a 152BPM when locked to Follow Host). I then went to Stretch notes (right click on midi groove) and selected 1/2 tempo and expanded the groove to ensure it included all the midi notes. This solution changes the tempo of the 76BPM groove to the 152BPM but it plays correctly. Happy now!
