I have been programming drums in reaper with Midi Editor for a year now. Never got into Grid Editor of Ez Drummer2 and now 3. Which is a easier more streamlined way of the two. And if you make the drums in EZD then do you drag and drop into a midi track on Reaper. If anyone has any suggestions on reading a thread that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
I never drag the EZD midi into Reaper. I leave them in EZD because if I ever want to edit it, I can do so directly in EZD. Occasionally, I do find it frustrating that I don’t have the midi visible there in Reaper and have to open EZD to see the drum tracks but I can live with that.
I’d also be interested to hear what workflow others use and why.
Would it not be super convenient if we saw a reflection of the midi in EZDrummer in Reaper? But I guess it would involve Reaper programmers and some ARA integration of some sort.
I am basically torn in between the two workflows. Grid editor in EZDrummer 3 is very convenient. But not being able to see what is there in Reaper just kills it for me. So I drag and drop everything to Reaper as soon as I can.
