That’s not really a lot of info to go on.

    What OS?
What OS version exactly (32-bit or 64-bit)?
What computer specs (CPU, RAM, etc)?
    What audio interface? Drivers?
What type and version of DAW?
    What version of EZD2?

Ah yes, my apologies. I’m running Windows 8.1 on an HP Envy 64-bit with an Intel i7-5500 2.4GH processor – 12 GB of RAM. It has a Realtek hi-def audio. I’m using a Roland TD-11k kit that plugs in via USB. I’ve tried both ASIO drivers: the one that comes with the kit software, and ASIO4all. I use Reaper for my DAW, but this problem happens with just the EZD2-64(2.1) bit program as well without the DAW. EZD2 runs fine without the v-drums plugged in.

It’s weird because every once in a while it will run just fine, but more often than not my roland module will lock up as well as EZD until I unplug the USB. I’m also in touch with Roland about this, but I’ve yet to hear back from them. This forum has been helpful in the past, so I figured I’d ask here as well. I appreciate the help!

Do you have another usb cable to try?

I do, and it seems to be working. I’ll check back in after a bit. If it’s just the cable I’m going to be embarrassed and relieved.

    So far so good!
