I’m new to Superior and I find it odd that my saved kit user presets only appear in the library that they came from.
I would have thought there would be a “User Presets” library at the top-level menu along with “Superior Drummer 3”, “Hansa Live Room”, etc
The problem is in order to find a user preset I have to remember which library it came from.
Is there a way to make all user presets appear in one place? For example, have a “User Presets” library?
Thanks!

I’ve been using toontrack since before sd2 and have beta tested with them. I think this is a great feature request. I would like to be able to arrange my own presets together no matter what library they are in. I have mine named so I know which one I want but if I can’t remember where it is I have to go searching. I think this is a very reasonable request. (I rarely use any of the presets supplied so it’s all my presets)

Well being that I don’t know you my response was right on. Don’t know where you get I talked about people having a dismissive attitude towards me. You act like you know it all and don’t like when someone challenges your way of thinking. I don’t know what you have against me – have I wronged you in another lifetime? What is this ‘itchy ears’ thing anyways?
My answers were solely based on your responses to me. Nothing more. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.
As for not knowing you, something tells me our paths crossed in another forum… perhaps TT’s competitors. The patterned response speaks rather clear to me.

We’re the same, but different. Like you, I use mostly my own presets as I most often have a drum mix in mind for the song at hand. However, I am often looking for something in the context of the recorded drum sound based on the producer and the magic they will impart on the mix. For me, everything matters from the source first. Listening to the song I’m recording, I will immediately know if I want to reach for the Bob Rock produced SDX or the Eddie Kramer SDX, or even a Neil Dorfsman SDX (or others) because each one by itself will give the song a different type of energy. At that point, I will know which presets I have are associated with that sound. As for me, keeping them associated with the same library helps keep them organized.
Perhaps as a rider to the feature request, I could support from a UX perspective where all that is really changing is displaying a submenu of the libraries with a list of presets underneath them rather than jumbling them up in one giant preset salad, thus making searching that much more difficult.

Since you quoted 2 different posters here and the forum s/w makes it impossible to edit a quote or a post I have to do it this way. I wrote this first paragraph:

My response to you is thus:
Since you mention one of TT’s competitors possibly being where our paths have crossed it rings a bell – the old fxpansion/BFD forums? I see the tiger has not changed his stripes. You couldn’t take my straight talking before and you can’t do that now.
Given enough time I could possibly figure out how do what what’s being talked about. Heck it only took me a day to figure out how to change gui colors in ProTools when they went dark mode as an alternate scheme. Then Avid integrated the ability for ends users to do their own changes and not have to muck with the code.

I knew I recognized the acid tone from somewhere! At least you remembered that part. However, I think you have it very much backwards: it is you who seems to find my responses hard to swallow, both yesterday and today. However, you are free to believe what you wish as it really has no bearing. Heck, if rhino hide looks like tiger fur to you, who am I to argue with your beliefs?

This is not about modifying a simple resource here. The unpredictability of the file in a different spot lends itself to the fact that it does not account for which library needs to be loaded. You cannot simply add in the information and expect that SD3 is just going to accept it. In fact, you might get quite the opposite effect. TT will probably have to do some upward compatible mods to their preset file, or as I suggested above, modify the UI a bit. But hey, follow your own beliefs and muck with SD3 all you want. I hope for your own sake that you figure it out. Only reason I won’t is because my day is filled with enough coding as it is and at the end of the day, SD3 is for music as far as I go, and I prefer to keep that boundary and let Olof, Andreas & crew do the fantastic job of letting me keep that boundary.

I’m going to make one request of you since this forum doesn’t seem to have an ignore or block function: stay away from me. I don’t need nor want your help. Oh and on the old fxpansion/BFD forum I used a completely different screen name that was a combo of my first name and ham radio call sign.

You didn’t have to tell who you were on the forum. I know exadtly who you are right down to your playing card avatar.
Plain and simple: don’t post on a forum if you cannot handle the response from me or anyone. If you wish to post information that I clearly find questionable in relation to the forum, I won’t hesitate to post an answer, whether you may agree with the information in it or not. Perhaps, I will give you same advice just as I did on the BFD forum: show some etiquette and act a bit more professional in your posts. Remember that you answered back with a borderline condescending tone of “How do you know?” type of response to a purely informational answer which would have been more geared to the OPs request than yours.

I don’t need you or anyone else to tell me to show some etiquette – as you should remember I speak plainly and don’t hesitate to call someone out when they need to be done so. I am who I am and am NOT going to change that to suit you. It’s because of people like you that others don’t post on forums when they need help. Just wish this forum had an ‘ignore’ button.

Once again, you have it backwards and descibed your character than mine. If you want to call anyone out, then prepare to be called out yourself.

Describing my character was all my post was ever meant to do – I never said I was describing anyone else’s character. Don’t know where you got that idea from. I don’t have anything backwards. Reading comprehension is not your strong suit.
