Urgent, EZD2 Day Long Promotion

I have EZD1 and defiinitely plan to upgrade to 2 when I have time to use it (a little more personal income would help too, despite the reasonable price.)

But I am interested to know more about the promotion I received via E-mail today which states:

The classic sounds and grooves from EZdrummer have now been converted into an EZX expansion including all-new graphics and effect chain presets. Upgrade to EZdrummer 2 today and get these features free of charge. ‘On top of that, you’ll get:
• TWO SOUND LIBRARIES WITH FIVE (5) ALL-NEW KITS• PERCUSSION• NEW SONGWRITING TOOLS• NEW AUDIO ENGINE• NEW INTERFACE• AND MUCH, MUCH MORE

The link had a lot of general EZD2 info but I could not find what specifically was specially included in today’s offer. I assume it is some extra expansion packs but I have many already and would like to know specifially, or any other details I might not be understanding.

Actually it does not show a link address, just a clickable button saying Upgrade Now, which presumably goes to a regular features main page. Thinking it over I’m starting to think the E-mail is just a description of 2’s regular features and not a special deal for extra software (or temporary discount) if purchased today – in which case I would opine that the wording is rather confusing and potentially misleading on that point. If theres’ more to it though I would like to hear.

There is no special offer from Toontrack currently. Nor am I aware of an email that went out today.

Thanks Michael. FYI I copied customer contact in case they could respond today, and here is their reply:

Hi Brian,

The Pop/Rock EZX is the core sound library included with EZdrummer 1, the Pop/Rock sound library.

If you upgrade to EZdrummer 2 today, since you have EZdrummer 1, the Pop/Rock EZX will be added as a separate product to your account with it;s own new updates. You will be able to use the currently installed Pop/Rock library from EZD1 if you install EZdrummer 2 on your computer. (END)

Given this information, can you by chance offer a little detail on having the Pop/Rock EZX as a separate product as opposed to using it upgraded from Ez1? Perhaps this has something to do with updates, but I can’t think of how that might be different/better. Thanks again for the help.

Sorry, I did not understand that you were referring to the Pop Rock EZX.

IF you are an owner of EZdrummer 1 There is no need to purchase the Pop Rock EZX… as you already have it.

It is the exact same Sound library and MIDI content that is included in EZDrummer 1.

The Pop Rock EZX is ONLY for users who do not have EZdrummer 1 (i.e. they only have EZDrummer 2) and they would like to have the Pop Rock Sounds and MIDI.
