Is it possible to reduce the loud knocking/slapped fingerboard sound that seems to randomly occur when using the Upright Bass instrument?
I know it is there for added realism, but sometimes it is too prominent.
This is very audible in the Jazz Trio patch.

so far, except for the modelled uprights (like MODO), all the real sampled ones (not just TT) have the “realism” turned up. i mainly use the Ample U Bass as i can mostly control the “realism” and except for the sporadic low E “slap” that occurs on a note end, it’s pretty clean and the option to turn up stuff to get it right. for the slap, i leave it as a percussive effect or i clip gain it later to reduce or eliminate it.

I have emailed support about this a couple of times, it is infuriating and means the product is wholly unsuitable for professional use.
I was trying to get a mix finished recently, but each render had a different random set of loud fingerboard bangs, yes, probably intended for realism, but no professional musician would want these sounds! And professional musicians can control their tone, the very opposite of this ‘feature’
It is a ridiculous feature and means for me, I need to buy another bass library, and spend however long re programming the parts.
I have reported it to Support a while back, but nothing changed. Extremely flawed product as it stands. As it is random, this clearly means the clean sample is available in the software. a simple fix, if anyone cared about professional customers.
As posted on the other thread, I’m wondering the velocity and note ranges you are programming. Lower notes will indeed have more slap to them and higher velocities is like slamming down on the bass.
