I am planning on getting a new mac laptop, upgrading my DAW and retiring my current Macbook- the main reason being my OS is snow leopard. I am using Logic Express with EZD and a couple of expansion and midi pacs. I have several inter related questions.
How do I migrate the EZD programme and associated midi files / expansion packs to the new MAC? The original EZD, the classic and nashville expansion packs I bought on discs which I still have- I must have downloaded ROCK
if I upgrade to EZD2 what other considerations are there in moving to a new MAC and logic Pro? should I upgrade first then migrate?
If the answer relates to authorised computers- I cannot find where my MAC is listed in My Account anywhere – I do have my current computer code but not sure how I obtained it- Where is this info?
Love the EZD it’s been a lot of fun
Thanks for any advice you can offer
Hi,
my recommendation would be to download and install all your products fresh from your Toontrack account to the new Mac, especially if you are planning to upgrade to EZdrummer 2. IOW, don’t use the discs.
Then Authorize the new Mac.
If you absolute must migrate, then I recommend updating/upgrading first.
