“update Toontrack software”

I’ve downloaded PostRock EZX and it’s telling me I have to “update Toontrack software” before I can install it. What software? Where? No “update” indicator on EZDrummer 2 when I activate it. Help!

What version number is shown on the EZD2 interface? Is it the latest version from the Updates section of your Toontrack account?

Please download the latest version of EZD2. It’s in the Updates tab under your EZD2 product. See this video in the FAQ if you need more info on where the Updates section is.

And, having just gone to the updates tab, which sent me to a MY PRODUCTS page with “updates available”, I see the update version of EZD2 is 2.0.2, which is the one I downloaded and installed yesterday.

2.0.0 or 2.02…neither of them are the latest version that is required for the Post-Rock EZX to install and run properly. 2.1.1 is required. I can only recommend again that you follow the video above and download, extract, and install the latest 2.1.1 update for EZD2.

I just watched the video (again) and it shows that the Updates tab is where the Updates are located (at around the :20 mark in the video). It states, ‘…if there are any updates available for you product, please download and install them after you install the full version’. The 2.0.2 version is the full product and not the Update.

I don’t think I can say it better than I’ve already said it.

Download the EZD2 2.1.1 update from the Updates tab in your Toontrack account.

It seems to me that you (Harry) are referencing the ‘Update’ function in EZDrummer2
while Scott is asking you to download the updates posted on the Updates tab found by logging into your Toontrack account on the Toontrack website,
under My Account > My Products >.
