I’ve been using SD3 for a while with no problems. However, recently when dragging patterns from SD to Cubase an “SysEx Data” midi track is created. If I drop 20 drum patterns and fills into CB, I get 20 SysEx Data tracks. It’s becoming a bit tedious having to always delete them.
Does anyone knows how to prevent this?
EDIT: I’ve just checked my SD3 update history. I updated to 3.2.7 on 23/11/21 which coincides with the start of the SysEx Data problem.
Hi,
check your Cubase Preferences to Filter out SysEx data. It should be by Default.

Thanks John,
I assume you mean MIDI-MIDI Filter, “Record” and “Thru”. Unfortunately, checked or unchecked doesn’t make a difference.
I create weekly drive images of my system, so was able to restore my C: Drive to the image which had SD3 3.2.4
SD3 3.2.4 worked perfectly, ie. not creating SysEx Data tracks. I then updated again to 3.2.7, the issue returned.
Seems something has gone awry with the 3.2.7 update.
OK, I can’t replicate here but I have forwarded to my colleagues. Thanks for reporting.
BR,
John

Hi,
You need to turn off “Auto Dissolve Format 0” in Cubase preferences > MIDI > MIDI File.
