    Hi,

to clarify: You have had the product in question installed and Authorized and then you apply an update and it isn’t Authorized in your DAW but still in Toontrack solo?
And then the serial doesn’t work in the Authorization window?
If so, then I would suspect you have been moving or copying something post initial install.
Are you using Superior 2, EZdrummer 1 or EZdrummer 2 to load the EZX:s?

I am using EZ Drummer 1. I just loaded Toontrack Solo and simply authorized the program Funk Master without a problem, thank you. Now! I brought up EZ Drummer in my DAW and the authorization page came up for Funk Masters and asked for the authorization # which I had done many times. The notice “EZDDrummer Authorization Failed” is the response . I am using Windows XP32bit

Can you search your system for the ezdrummer.dll? How many are there?

2 ezdrummer .dll files showed after a system search and one that is in my plugins folder wasn’t found by Windows system search. 1. EZDrummer LAplication Data From C: Drive…..2. TT106EZD Install/Program Files/Toontrack. Please understand that EZDrummer is just fine in my DAW with the exception of the FUNK MASTERS asking for the AUTHORIZATION CODE. The codes that are in my acct located in their respective places and copied by me manually into the required field continues to reply with INVALID AUTHORIZATION CODE

Which ezdrummer.dll is being used in Solo? Is the same ezdrummer.dll being used in your DAW? What version number is shown in both EZD in Solo and EZD in your DAW?

Toontrack Solo is located in C:Program FilesCakewalkVSTPluginsEZDrummer.dll 1.4.0.0 EZDrummer Audio Plugin 32-Bit VST Next is EZDrummer in my DAW the .dll date is 7-1-2011 which seems like an older version. I’m pretty sure I updated EZDrummer just recently and followed the installation correctly although not sure where it was downloaded.

I would delete the old one and set the path in the DAW to the 1.4.0 EZD version.

would it be possible to copy/paste the current version .dll into the top tier DAW plugins folder after deleting the 1.2.0 from said folder? Just did as I asked in this post and lo and behold, Clyde and Jamo “are in the house” and NOT bothering me with an Authorization.Thanx for your assistance, it is done and fine. Back to making music….

    Copy/pasting is not recommended.

What should happen in an update is the new version reads the install location from the registry and overwrites the old version. If the .dll is moved/copied from its original location, the update can’t find it so it just installs to the default location. You then end up with 2 .dll version and a whole lot of headache.
