    Hi All,

For the life of me cannot work out why SD3 will not authorise, keep getting the following error.

Also, I’ve tried offline activation, but SD3 asked for code, where as the website provides a ‘ttauth’ file, confused.

    Would really appreciate some help.

    Many thanks.

    Hi there,

Did you download and install from Toontrack Product Manager? If not I would suggest, installing from Product Manager.

    Hi,

This sounds like the symptoms of having EZX libraries (and in particular EZdrummer 1 Pop/Rock) installed into the SD3 sound library. Go to SD3 Settings > Libraries/Paths. What’s the path to “Additional Libraries”?

Sorry to clarify, from the Toontrack Product Manager that’s been installed on your local machine, not the web version.

Where is the authorization error message coming up, from SD3 or from the PM application? I see a “Log in and continue” message in your screen print but I am not sure what application is displaying it.

    See Olof’s reply… he’s the man!

    Hi Both,

The error message is coming from within SD3, I cannot click on settings as it is currently grey’d out etc. I don’t have EZDrummer V1 installed, however did try earlier and realised that it won’t run on an M2 Mac.

Think I’ve messed up as the install hasn’t finished and I the uninstaller is incompatible.

    Cheers

There should be an “Authorize” red button in Toontrack Product Manager. What happens when you try to authorize that way?

It’s says that SD3 is authorised on this Mac, doesn’t do anything particular within SD3 itself.

I would say to contact Toontrack support.

    Hey there,

I have the same symptoms here after an incorrect update with SL Avatar 2.0, which i could resolve by reinstalling it. Updater looked like in the attachment.

As told, this issue is resolved. But now SD 3 does not let me log in again. I have even reinstalled SD3 (without the libs)

Olof mentioned EZDrummer libraries that could be in the way. Which i of course also have installed. But this all worked just fine until the incorrect SL Avatar update. I remain riddled what the problem could be.

Do you have any advice? I have already contacted the support. But i want to make music …

    Kind regards

    Tiles

    Hi,

if you start the Product Manager application, does it tell you to Authorise? If so, does it work to?

The Additional Libraries path looks like it should work.

A “Superior Drummer 3” authorization dialog with a close button is an authorization dialog for the core library, but it should not need authorization, so it means that there are files from some other library inside the core library that should not be there.

So the problem is my core library? The 240 gb package? That’s at another drive. And as you can see in the shot, the EZDrummer files are at drive C.

    What is the solution here?

No, in the manager everything is green and tells me ready to use.

Apart from deleting and reinstalling the library, a quick fix that may work (unless some of its files have been overwritten so that it won’t sound/work correctly) is to go into the Sounds folder in the library (SL-SuperiorDrummer3) and delete the file “soundstats” (but leave “soundstats.dat”, which must remain there).

    Many thanks for the idea,

Unfortunately, there is no soundstats.dat file. Just the soundstats file. And when i remove it then it asks me to redownload the libs …

EDIT, just searched for the soundstats.dat file. And there is none. Not even in my backup, which is a week old, before SD has quit working.
