See attached photo. For some reason I’m only allowed to play a full on crash sound, when I’d like some articulation (as in, when I play the crash lightly it has more of a pingy stick sound vs just a quiet version of a full on crash splash). It would seem like this is rudimentary stuff here, so I must just be missing something. Are those sound files in a different sound pack? I’m using the Decades SDX pack.
Any help would be greatly appreciate!
Thanks.
P.S. Is there seriously no search functionality for the forums?
Okay, I figured it out. You have to enable the articulations from the dropdown menu right below where you select the kit. Click on the crash cymbal you want to articulate on and enable all articulations. Why on earth would those be off by default? Wild.
Also, I’m a dummy – the regular search bar at the top also shows forum posts. Whoops!

They are off by default because the more articulations equal more RAM usage and if Toontrack had it load a 12 GB kit by default using all articulations for every kit piece available, it would crash many user’s computers and they would be on here asking why we would do that to them 🙂

Very reasonable. Thank you kindly for the information – and the phenomenal software!
Is there a way to switch them on be default so that all presets load with activated articulations for let’s say bow tip?
