    – realized that I installed 32 bit standalone version of ezdrummer2 when I need 64 bit that would be recognized in “reaper 64 bit.”
    – trying to uninstall with no success nor could I get ezdrummer2 to re download from toontrack.com
    – original issue was that reaper couldn’t find ezdrummer2 as a vst plugin and now im afraid ive messed things up beyond repair.

any advice to conquer these challenges?

Seems I have lost my 64 bit EZ Drummer 2 upgrade, have no idea what I did. I have tried to re-install the EzDrummer 2 upgrade but it keeps wanting to install it in Program File 86 32 bit) and loads as 32 bit. Is there any problem uninstalling all of my EZ drummers (1 & 2) and re installing all of them. I haven’t been able to find the uninstall feature for the EZ Drummer (1). Is it okay to use the Windows uninstall program. I have Window 7 64 bit and Reaper DAW.

    Hi,

you can uninstall EZdrummer 1 using the Add/Remove Programs. The EZdrummer 2 installer wants to install the Sounds and MIDI in the (x86) path, right? But when you run the 64-bit installer and 2.0.2 updater, it installs the plugin to the 64-bit ‘C:Program FilesVstPluginsToontrack64bit’ Default location.

Point Reaper to the location of the 64-bit plugin and make sure it doesn’t pick up the location of the 32-bit version. This can be set in the Reaper Preferences.

Please log in to your Toontrack account again and download the Full installer and the 2.0.2 update. You should also follow the advice to point Reaper to the correct location of the 64-bit version of the plugin.

Thanks John. The uninstall and reinstall worked although the 64 bit driver ended up in a folder I had made earlier in the Program Files. It’s nice to actually get support from a company these days. It sets Toontrack apart from many.
