Typically tympani are handled spread out over a keyboard because people like to be able to use any tuning instantly. How do you address this in the new set?
I think you will see this handled by using different sets of presets, some aimed more towards using specific instruments rather than cramming every instrument into the keyboard layout.
I have the new SDX on order – Can the hit pedal be used to vary tuning? It seems like some additional things like this would be helpful to get the most out the the new samples while triggering live from an e-drum.
