I have 18 kits in my EZD and don’t give a thought to what notes any of them are tuned to. The twin kicks are tuned high to make them heard through the heavy guitar, but that’s it.
It’s seems the majority of engineers/drummers I talk to. They do note tune their drums to specific notes, they tune them for the best tone. I have a feeling that’s what you’ll find here. There’s certainly acceptations though.
