    Have you tried Bandmate?

No, I have an older copy of Ez Drummer 2. I didn’t spend a lot of time researching Bandmate but I don’t see how that would do it either.

I’d be happy to just be able to assign an arbitrary sound to one of the pads and then I could edit that pad.  But I only get a very limited selections of instruments to choose from.

I only do this very occasionally and would therefore prefer not to spend any more money if at all possible.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

It just occurred to me, I can insert a whole new EZ Drummer track and set up the kit differently with the desired tuning.  Any way to do this short of having an entire track for every note?

EZ Drummer isn’t ideal if you want to play different notes of a tuned 808 kick, unless you have some spare instrument slots. Why not bounce your kick and use it in a sampler?

It looks like that left most pad group allows me to do chromatic kicks.  So I’m gonna mess with that a bit.  The pad on the bottom right of that group looks like it’ll do the trick and I can access from a higher octave of my MIDI keyboard.
