Hi
I experience sync problems with EZplayer using Toontrack Solo host. When auditioning grooves the following sync issues occur:
– Using customized tempo(ignoring the tempo of MIDI file) result in at least one additional bar played until loop returns to starting point. For instance, playing a 7/8 groove result in 8/8 loop although time signature set to 7/8 in the Solo host and sync button activated. Turning on the Solo metronome groove somehow gets on track but this should not be required.
– Second issue raises when creating custom grooves in the Arranger. For instance setting the track to 7/8 time signature with a 71 Bpm tempo synced with host, I expect the MIDI file to be stored with corresponding settings/parameters when I drag it to my My Midifiles folder in the EZplayer library. Is this the case? Certainly not since groove is being auditioned in default tempo 120 Bpm when alarming ‘Respect tempo of MIDI file’ button. Further one additional bar has been added to the MIDI file when auditioning it with host tempo (BPM 71) and gets even more obvious when dragging the MIDI file to a new 7/8 Arranger track, to see that one additional bar has been added to the MIDI file.
Please look into these issues. Thanks.

I’m not sure I follow you, there is no sequencing facility in solo. I’m not observing this in any case using the latest solo+EZplayer pro version, but then again I don’t have enough information to work with… was this a Toontrack grooves modified in some fasion or starting from a 3rd party / home grown pattern imported into EZplayer pro? please tell us more.

the tempo is a host setting, there is no reason for the groove to inherit this property, though I can see why you’d expect it. I do end up with a 7/8 groove following your recipe however so playback is completely as expected at my end.

just to emphasize, if I follow your recipe and drag the (modified) groove added to the Browser onto a new track set to 7/8 the result is exactly the same as the playback from the original track. You need to either give us a step-by-step or send us a tts file and a .mid exported to the ‘MY MIDIFILES’ folder (or any other fashion as far as it represent the groove being played back in the browser).
