Trying to get tight, punchy Neil Pert sounding drums

I’ve always love the sound and tone of his kits. Pretty new to SD3. I have the SD3 core library and I just picked up Death and Darkness. Can anyone whose been using these libraries point me to a preset that would approximate the drums in Rush? RIP Neil… arguably the best rock drummer ever.

Progressive kit has a punchy kit that’s pretty close

 

Toss compression on it and boom should get you there

 

Or Neutron 4 or God particle on Drum Bus

No problem…neutron 4 is an amazing tool

 

You can literally capture the eq profile of his drums using an audio reference from music file and apply that captured eq profile to your drums

 

Or just use neutrons learning for drums and then adjust to your taste

Where do you get high quality, lossless drum tracks separated out from fav songs, in this case Rush?
