Hello, when recording my stereo tracks in EZ Drummer 2 into Pro Tools 10, toms, overheads, ambiance and reverb they do not record in true stereo, this is evident because both track waves are identical so I have two identical mono tracks in the stereo channel, if it was stereo the left and right channels would show a difference in their wave form. I did manage to record in true stereo once and sound is ten times better but I’ve forgotten how I did it. Do I have to fix this in Pro Tools or can it be done in EZ Drummer, if anybody has any ideas I’d be grateful because the sound quality of the drums in the final mix is immeasurably better?
Thanks,
Nigel.

Hi,
this is totally depending on how you set up your routing in your Pro Tools session.
I attach a Session to this post, which I hope you can open in your Pro Tools version.
In newer versions of Pro Tools, you can just right-click an output or Bus and Bounce whatever is routed there but in the attached session, I set up separate Aux outputs and Sends to Audio Tracks.

John

Thanked by: Nigel MooreHello John.
Thanks for your help I’ll give it a go, my version of EZ Dummer 2 is one of the earliest but hopefully it will be OK.
Thanks once again,
Nigel.
