I’m having big-time trouble with EZ Drummer. I purchased the disk at Guitar Center, downloaded it to my computer. I also downloaded Toontrack Solo. I registered the software at the website. I also downloaded the updates including the Windows 7 64 Bit update. The only thing that showed up on my computer was Toontrack Solo. I could play all the samples of drumbeats with not problem. I dragged one of the samples to Ableton Live 8.1.3 but was not able to hear anything. I could hear other things I recorded from my Korg Triton Studio Workstation but not EZ Drummer. I wrote to Toontrack for help. One of the techs sent me some photos of how to set up EZ Drummer with Ableton Live but used Superior and Ableton Live 7 as examples. I tried to follow the directions but to no success. I’ve even check my preferences in Ableton Live to make sure it would open up products such as EZ Drummer. Out of frustration I went to the Toontrack forums to look for answers. One of the forums mentioned something about unstalling EZ Drummer. I went ahead and did that, and only re-installed EZ Drummer but not Toontrack Solo. I’m still having troubles. I’m getting very frustrated with all of this!!! I just want to record good music!!! I thought EZ Drummer was going to be a whole lot easier than this!!!
Can somebody help me with some simple instructions and tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you for your time in this matter.

Hi,
are you now re-installed and updated to 1.2.1?
What happens when you open the attached Live Set?
I trust you now how to open a plugin interface in Live.
Best Regards,
John

Hi John. I finally figured out what the heck to do!!! I got EZ Drummer to work in Ableton Live 8.1.3. I appreciate your patience with this 57 year-old college educated man who gets easily confused with this computer stuff.
On another note, I noticed that you attached something to your response. I downloaded it and noticed my Ableton Live screen open up. I saw that the individual drum pieces are separated. How does this work? What do I do with it?
Thank you for your time in this matter.

The attached Live set has EZdrummer set up for multiple outputs (EZdrummer has 8 Stereo Outputs).
If you open up the EZdrummer mixer, you can route the faders to separate outputs and thus get them on the separate faders in the Live mixer.
