We submitted a case to Microsoft and this is their answer:

“At this time, the submitted files do not meet our criteria for malware or potentially unwanted applications. The detection has been removed. Please follow the steps below to clear cached detections and obtain the latest malware definitions.

    1. Open command prompt as administrator and change directory to c:\Program Files\Windows Defender

    2. Run “MpCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures”

    3. Run “MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate”

Alternatively, the latest definition is available for download here: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/security/defender-endpoint/manage-updates-baselines-microsoft-defender-antivirus.

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft.”

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item C:Program Files\Toontrack\EZdrummer 3\EZdrummer 3.exe  Tried reinstalling , looked at permissions, pathes and files. I have EZdrummer2 32 bit and 64bit and they work beautifully and all my compatibilities are green. Product manager deleted and reinstalled, validated , updated, multiple times, what gives. I’m not new to these issues. But this one’s a pain…

I’m having the same problem. I just bought the software today and it won’t work. I can’t download updates because there is a message that says “damaged files”

Can you reset my information with Microsoft?
