Hi,
I am new to EZ Drummer, and trying to play a drum track that I composed on my Dr-880 through EZ Drummer in an attempt to “humanize” it. The problem I am having is that some of the wrong instruments are being triggered. A crash is playing when it is supposed to be a tom, etc. Is there a way to reassign the instruments?
Thank you,
Tricia
Hi,
you cannot reassign notes in EZdrummer 2, this needs to be done in the DR-880.
Alternatively, you can try one of the E-drum MIDI Mapping Presets, e.g. ‘Roland’ and see if it improves the result.
Go to Menu > Settings > E-drums

Thank you, John. Unfortunately that did not change much. There doesn’t seem to be any way to reassign the notes in the DR-880 either. I have seen on other forums that many people have had this problem. Do you know of anyone who has already done this work? Seems like someone would have developed a program by now that would do it easily.
You would need some kind of Note Input Transformer, like EZplayer Pro, only EZplayer Pro does not have a DR-880 map.
I am guessing that Cubase’s MIDI Input Transformer can do the trick but I am not sure, since I haven’t had Cubase for quite some time.
Hopefully someone more versed in Cubase specifics can chime in on this matter.
