Hi, I can’t seem to figure out a way to search the forum so apologies if this has already been answered somewhere else…
Does the EZ Bass interface have a way to transpose certain sections of a song into different keys? Actually what I’m really looking to do is change the specific scale for parts of the song. This song in particular has multiple key changes. The verse is in B, chorus is in G. I’ve set the key to B because that’s the key of the verse. I’d like to be able to enter all the chords as usual, but then select each song part that uses a different scale and edit a setting so that different scale is used for MIDI bassline grooves that include scalar/non-chord tones. So I would enter these chords using the chord wheel:
VERSE
B F# E C#m7
CHORUS
Em D G Cmaj7
After entering the chords I’d like to be able to use a function that transposes the scale being used in the choruses to the G major scale, without transposing the chords themselves that I’ve already entered using the chord wheel. I want to avoid the chords being transposed down a major 3rd which I suppose would happen in this case if they get transposed in relation to the main song key.
Can you please tell me what the best way is to accomplish this, and if there’s a specific setting I can edit/adjust to make it happen?
Thanks for your help!
