You would just need to install EZdrummer on your new system and then authorize it on the Toontrack website. Make sure to apply the latest updates, of course. You can have 2 computers authorized at one time so you will need to remove one of the 2 you have currently authorized.

    I don’t follow your question.

You install EZdrummer on your new system. Open EZdrummer in your host and you will be greeted with the Authorization window. Follow the usual steps to authorize. But, as I said above, you can only have 2 systems authorized at the same time so if you already have 2 systems authorized, you will need to remove one to make room for your new system. Then make sure you install all updates.

I can make it more difficult if you want by telling you need to stand on one leg when authorizing and spin around exactly 3 times before hitting the ‘enter’ key.

What Scott was talking about as far as you authorizations is actually on the toontrack web site, in your account under your products you will see a list of you programs you have and if you look at them you will see the computers you have authorized and as you stated you have a laptop and a desktop already authorized which uses up your 2 avaliable authorizations ( you will see 2-2 and 2-4 authorizations ) so what that works out to be is you have 4 authorizations total when you first register you products but only 2 authorizations (computers) at the same time so you will need to remove one of the computers you will no longer be using which will allow you to authorize you newest computer and that will leave you with 1 -4 authorizations left. I had to do that same thing when my laptop died I had to remove its authorization and then add my new on which I then added a seperate laptop which Is used when I am not able to use my main laptop. So like you I have 1-4 authorizations left.
I hope I made that easier to understand and not more complicated 🙂

OK, I’m in a similar position (migrating to a new computer), and would just like to be sure I understand.

To De-Authorize do I need to login from the computer that has the authorization on it that I want to remove?

Or is it just a matter of clicking the button in my account and it’s done? I can’t see how that actually de-authorizes anything, but maybe it’s done via the bluetooth-fairy or something…

Like others, I don’t want to do something silly that ends up nuking an auth.

    Thanks,

    Ray

    OK.

You have 4 Total authorizations that you can freely use (authorize new and remove currently authorizations). It is shown on your product page in your TT account.

    For example:

    Active Authorizations: 2 / 2
    Total Authorizations: 2 / 4

This means that this product currently has 2 active authorizations at one time. Say, a desktop computer and a laptop. You can have 2 computers authorized at the same time. It also shows 2/4 Total Authorizations. This means that this product can be ‘un-authorized’ and re-authorized 2 more times before the user needs to contact support to free up an authorization. So, that means that the user can get a new desktop computer, unauthorize the old desktop, and authorize the new one. Also, the user could do the same for the laptop. At that time, it would show 4/4 Total Authorizations. If the user needs to authorize a new computer after that, he/she would need to contact support and we’ll free up one.

So, if you have a new computer, you would just click the ‘Remove Authorization’ button for the product in your Toontrack account. Then click the ‘Add Authorization’ button and add the new computer.
