I have a song in Pro Tools, created from tracks from a tape multitrack, at 4/4 that has been tempo mapped at the beginning of each bar. I am trying to replace the drums using Tracker. My tempo in Pro Tools fluctuates around 181.3. In Pro Tools, the song starts with a hi hat pickup at a 4th beat and the first beat of bar 1 contains a base drum and side stick strike. On bringing my drums into Tracker, and selecting Find Tempo, it is setting it’s bar 1 to the hit hat pickup ( which is really a beat 4 prior to the song’s first bar) and the bar tempo to 353.6 . Tracker will only allow me to drag the first blue guide to a snare hit at what is beat 2 of its bar 1.
If I place the first blue guide line at beat 1 of Tracker’s bar 2, and subsequent blue grid lines on the first beat of bar 3 the tempo is close to correct and the tempo at bar 1 beat 1 becomes 143.3
Is there a way for me to correct and set where bar 1 really should be in Tracker?
