I am working on a cubase project. I have created a midi drum track using tracker but when I import the midi file into Cubase it does not follow the tempo track that I have. If I import a midi loop from the media bay it works fine. How do I go about getting my tracker file to sync with my project?
The way I’ve done this is to enable midi out in sd3. I then create a midi track and make its input sd3. I then play the track through in real-time and record the midi on the track I created. You can then disable the midi out of sd3 and aim the midi track at sd3. You can then also render in place with Cubase to get the audio.
I’ve found this the easiest way as it gets quite comp,I acted if you have a free time track as sd3 likes to use the set tempo or needs a tempo map. I’ve tried different ways but the one I’ve explained works 100% for me every time.
I forgot to mention you need sd3 to follow the DAW. You then set Cubase recording. The odd time I found it didn’t follow but starting from the beginning and turning follow off and on again has always resolved it.
