Track view only allows splits and trim to full measure.

The Track view only allows splits and trim to full measure.  I want to split a clip by a half measure.

I am almost sure I used to be able to do ths.

Is there some kind of track view quantize control that regulates where clips will be affected?

I just discovered  an oddball thing. If I use a groove that is 4/4 timing I can go the the quarter note. But if the groove is 12/8, only full measure.

‘Zooming’ into the Track exposes more grid subdivisions.
