If you are on Windows this should do the trick; https://www.eareckon.com/en/products/bloxpander-vst-host-for-live-performance.html

I don’t know of an equivalent on Mac (one probably exists I just don’t know it), though you could use a DAW and load SD3 on several tracks setting the monitor switch on (for example in Studio One).

Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro (always up to date)
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
    OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
    Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
    2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)

Yeah, I’m familiar with Bloxpander.  I actually used it before I moved to Toontrack Solo, but now it feels like I’m moving backwards to have to go back to it.  I was really hoping the Toontrack Solo functionality was built into the standalone product so I didn’t have to run any third party software.  I probably will look for something a bit less clunky than Bloxpander though TBH.  I’ve always found it a bit tedious.  I’m sure there is other software that can do the job, but I was again hoping I could do it with the SD software.

I guess it also depends on the host(computer) and what timeframe you need activation. I use thunderbolt attached SSDs for all my libraries and find presets/kits load in under 10 seconds.

That’s not the issue.  It’s a brand new mac mini with SSD hard drive, and I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 for midi input and to feed in the Roland samples.  The kits load in a matter of seconds, but we switch songs faster than that live.  I need instant switching, which we were able to achieve easily with Toontrack Solo by just changing the Roland TD-50 preset.

I hear ya and I know you’re not the first to request this kind of functionality. I also know that the developers are live on the forum a lot and make note of what is being asked for. That’s about all I know. Sorry I don’t have a better answer.

No worries, thanks for your help.  Hopefully I can get an official answer.  There could be something I’m missing.
