I’m having problems making my choice of preset “stick” in my project from one session to the next. My daw has the ability to save presets/banks in the form of fxp or fxb (presets or banks respectively), but when I then try to load those back after the wrong one shows up upon loading the project, I just get error messages.

What DAW, and version of it, are you using?

Toontrack
Band-in-a-Box 2018. You probably never heard of it referred to as a “DAW” though, since its primary function is auto-accompaniment with very rudimentary vst capabilities.

Are you using EZdrummer 1 or 2?
EZdrummer 2 itself supports fxb/fxp. I just tried to save a EZD2 setup as FXB in Ableton Live, and it successfully saved and loaded it. In Cubase it works too (but they use their similar .vstpreset format).
Does it work for you to save/load FXB/FXPs with other plugins in your Band-in-a-box setup?

I haven’t even had a reason yet to try. I mean, the few other vst’s I use seem to be quite able to “hold their own”, so to speak, without me needing to specifically save any presets.
I’m primarily trying to pinpoint at which end this really lies, Toontrack or the host producer, hence how generally (non case specific) I’ve tried to present this issue. So thanks for confirming that EZD does indeed recognise this particular presets/banks format. That gives me something to work with once I turn my attention to the host end of the equation.
