Dear Toontrack,
As a long time user of your wonderful products, I wanted to voice my opinion regarding your new pricing structure.
I understand completely that a lot goes into making the EZ Mix packs and the SD2 Producer Presets, but the cost is getting too high.
The EZ Mix packs come with 50 presets @ 49 bucks and the SD2 Producer Presets come with 5 presets @ 15 bucks. Please try to find some middle ground from the old pricing structure and the new.
So, for example… If you buy 4 of the EZ Mix packs, you’ve exceeded the cost of the EZ Mix 2 program by almost 20 bucks. I would like to continue supporting your company by buying your fantastic products, but it just isn’t making economical sense for me anymore.
And while we’re at it… I know that you’re trying to get new customers, give your existing customers a deal, etc… but I find it kind of insulting to pay full price for say, The Roots SDX – Sticks @ 179 bucks, only to get an email at a later date stating that it is now on sale for 99 bucks.
I understand this type of marketing is needed but how about giving something back to the loyal customers who already purchased these (and for the most part) almost all of your products.
And I know I can get the Toontrack products at a lesser cost by going through some of your dealers but sometimes trying to save some cash just leads to aggravation (E.g. Incompetent salespeople, lost orders, wrong serial codes, corrupt disks, etc…).
I’m not trying to come off like some kind of asshole. I just had to get my thoughts regarding this matter out into the open.
All that being said… I just purchased the Neil Dorfsman EZ Mix pack and it’s outstanding!
Thank you for listening!
Your Fan,
~Iz
