Hi all, hope you can help a simple midiot.

I have a Roland TD-27 module. I am trying to use the “Texas Metal” preset that comes with the core package. It has 3 racktoms and two floors. The problem is that racktom 1 is a “none”….it’s greyed out. The module still sees it as the first tom and it plays the sample of racktom 2. Of course, the module sees racktom 2 as racktom 2, so both toms have the same sound. Racktom 3 is skipped over. Is there a way to change the naming of these so that my module doesn’t insist on looking at a non-existent drum? I’ve tried replacing it with different toms, but racktom 1 and 2 are joined at the hip and still have the same sound. At wit’s end here.

I found a solution that worked for me in an older forum answered by Jose Sanguino back in Aug/21. The question was “Clear All MIDI Mapping Keys”. Some of you alluded to what I needed, but I didn’t have the knowledge of how to ask the question properly. I wouldn’t have found it without all of your help.

Glad you found it and thanks for posting the link. Sometimes doing stuff in SD3 isn’t all that straightforward  (or fully explained in the documentation).
