HI There
Im sure many people have the same issue of the Toms ringing?? I really am finding it very annoying as they spoil the mix in certain situations. Is there any way to change them and if not is there any update in sight that will rectify this?
Many thanks
You can change them by importing into the DAW as separate channels, Kick, Snare, Toms and so on, based on the EZDrummer 2 mixer. Then you can tighten them up using your DAW eq, compression. Works great for all your drums, cymbals, oh, reverb…..
You can also try to use a Gate, to cut the volume from the toms, as soon as they hit a low enough volume.

Yes thats what happens on most records.
SD3 has envelope control or decay time per mic so you can do all of that on board as well as gating .
As above,
Route each of the tom outputs to separate mixer channels in your daw,
you can then use a gate, compression and eq to manage levels:
Gate will control decay.
Compression for dynamics.
Eq to find the toms resonances (honk).
