Timpani Sustain control?

I see the dampened and sustained hits in the Timpani presets. Is there not a way to cut off the sustain of an open hit?

You wouldn’t always be able to use a dampened hit to play a proper Timpani part.

It is very common to hit a timpani and let it sustain until you hit another Timpani for instance.

Hi,

as explained in the video, you either trigger the Mute Tail via Aftertouch or Note Off. Check again around 1:06 in the video.

Yep….devils in the details…

i had to “Show” the Choke/Mute Trigger (and also found HiHat CC and Smoothing!)
