I would love it if there was a ‘hide’ function  to simply – temporarily – remove grooves from view, I orignally thought the ‘ Exclude’ functions were about this but I realize now it’s only search-related

Yes, this is the intended way. If you exclude some folders in the Search tab, and save a Default Project – every time you start EZdrummer 2, those folders will be excluded.

In what situations (besides searching for grooves) would you like the folders to be excluded/hidden?

    Hey Henrik,

Still not 100% clear on this, I’m not using EZDrummmer but SD3.

Does the same apply, just save a default after Excluding?

    Cheerz n thankz

Yes sir. The Default Project is there so you can setup EZd2 or SD3 the way you want it to be “by default”. Every time you open a new instance of the software it will start with the Default Project 🙂

Just tried this without result, the folders to be excluded turned red, I saved a new default, closed SD3 and reopened…. still there.

Hmm, did you open a DAW project where Superior Drummer 3 was already loaded? In that case, the default project won’t be used – it will load the SD3 that was saved into the DAW project 🙂

If you add a new instance of SD3 in the project, it should work. You can also try to open the SD3 standalone application, which will load the Default Project.

    So frustrating, still not there.

I right click the folder I want exclude, hit Exclude, it turns red.

Then I save Default project (‘Set Current to Def Proj’) hit Overwrite and exit the standalone.

I reopen and they’re still there

That’s strange. Can you check that Default Project is working as it should? E.g. try to remove (unload) the snare, or add a MIDI groove to Song Track (or basically any change) then save a Default Project, and start SD3 – just to see that the default project is loaded as it should.
